Small Planet Fund gave a planning grant to WhyHunger to support the launch of a new network of anti-hunger advocates. The group that formed out of that planning has gone on to host two conferences, including one in 2015 in Portland with more than 500 people in attendance from 40 states and Canada. The group also created a position paper as a result of the pre-conference workshop WhyHunger staff facilitated with 60 people representing food banks, food pantries and other food access organizations.
